China's People's Liberation Army is constantly preparing for war amid provocative actions by the United States, which is increasingly trying to use Taiwan to deter China, said spokesman for the Chinese Defense Ministry Tan Kefei.

According to him, Washington is increasingly disregarding the One China principle.

"Our army will resolutely suppress any attempts to ensure the so-called independence of the island, as well as the actions of separatists and the interference of external forces in China's internal affairs," the statement said.

Tan Kefei noted that the U.S. is encroaching on China's territorial integrity, thereby dramatically exacerbating the situation and disrupting peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
