The price of copper is declining on Monday, trading data show. Negative trade statistics from China and a strengthening dollar are holding back industrial metal prices.
December futures on copper on the Comex exchange fell by 1.49% to $3.6435 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).
At the end of trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME) on Friday, the cost of a ton of copper with delivery in three months rose by 7.12% to $8,099, aluminum - by 4.04% to $2,355.5 and zinc - by 5.66% to $2,874.
