Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev arrived in Tehran at the official invitation of Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mehr reported.

As part of his visit, Patrushev is scheduled to meet with high-level political and economic officials of Iran to discuss the development and expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation in the international arena.

Patrushev is accompanied by an economic delegation.
