Former U.S. President Donald Trump voted in the midterm elections in Florida. According to him, he cast his vote for Republican Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida.

As The Hill notes, DeSantis is considered by many to be Trump's most serious rival for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024.

Trump also hinted Tuesday that he may announce his campaign on Nov. 15.

Trump said Tuesday was going to be a very exciting day for a lot of people, and he looked forward to seeing everyone at Mar-a-Lago, he told reporters outside a polling place in Palm Beach.

Note that during the November 8 midterm elections, Americans have to elect all 435 members of the House of Representatives (the lower house of Congress) and 35 of the 100 members of the Senate (the upper house). Elections will also be held for the governors of 36 of the 50 states. In addition, in most of them, elections will be held for key representatives of local administrations. According to forecasts, Republicans can increase their representation in both houses of Congress, which will give them the ability to block legislative initiatives of the Democratic president.
