Relations between Tehran and Moscow have a bright future, President Ebrahim Raisi stated at a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, Mehr reports.

Raisi said that cooperation between the independent countries is the strongest response to the sanctions and destabilizing policy of the United States.

Noting that Iran and Russia are determined to increase the level of strategic relations in various fields, Raisi described the relations between Tehran and Moscow as growing and strengthening and predicted a bright future for these ties.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed that the principled policy of the Islamic Republic is to oppose war, "The expansion and escalation of the war is a matter of concern to all countries."

Expressing hope for the development of Iranian-Russian relations within the framework of regional bodies and organizations, Patrushev said that "the creation of a multipolar world meets the interests of all countries of the world.
