Emperor Naruhito, 62, of Japan has been diagnosed with prostate hyperplasia, Kyodo news agency reports.
Naruhito's condition is not a cause for concern, but he will have to undergo further tests for possible complications.
Naruhito ascended to the throne on May 1, 2019.
