Iranian authorities call on Saudi Arabia not to test Tehran's strategic patience with regard to fomenting protests in the Islamic Republic. Iranian Intelligence Minister Seyyed Esmail Khatib said.

"Any instability in Iran could also spread to countries in the region. So far, Iran has maintained its strategic patience with firm reasonableness, but it offers no guarantees that it will maintain it if hostile actions continue," Khatib said.

The minister's appeal is related to the anti-Iranian activities of the Saudi television channel Iran International, whose staff is allegedly agitating young people to go to protests.

The day before, Khatib also said that Iran's fate is linked to other states in the region and that any instability is "contagious."
