The number of cars that pass through the Upper Lars checkpoint per day has increased from 180 to 950 in a short period of time, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Kazbek Taysaev told journalists in Yerevan on Thursday.

He expressed confidence that Armenia and Russia have enough opportunities to discuss other issues.

"All tasks cannot be solved by this checkpoint alone," Taysaev added.

According to the deputy, it is necessary to discuss the possibility of other transport communications, so that all our economic projects, which started developing well enough today, could develop further, and the trade turnover would increase, so that it would contribute to the development of the countries.
