The Armenian soldier, who sustained a gunshot wound from Azerbaijan shooting Thursday, was operated on in the military hospital. Aram Torosyan, spokesman of the defense ministry of Armenia, informed Armenian News-NEWS.am about this.

"The operation was successful. As of now, the serviceman's life is not in danger, he is under the supervision of the medical staff of the hospital," Torosyan added.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that at around 10:30am on Thursday, an Armenian serviceman—Private P. Kh.—sustained a gunshot wound from Azerbaijan shooting, in an Armenian combat position located in the eastern part of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border zone. This wounded soldier is in critical condition
