U.S. Treasury Chief Janet Yellen plans to hold a series of meetings with her European counterparts from France and Italy on the margins of the G20 summit in Bali, Reuters reports, citing U.S. officials.
According to the agency, within the framework of talks, the representative of Washington intends to call for the preservation of financial support for Kyiv.
As noted, Yellen is going to demand from her European colleagues to provide serious economic assistance to Ukraine in a predictable and transparent manner.
Besides, the head of the U.S. Treasury will talk to representatives of France and Italy about energy problems that Europe may face in winter.
Reuters also noted that in the framework of the summit, Yellen and planned dialogue with Chinese counterparts, including the head of the National Bank of China Yi Gang. The agency noted that the talks between the parties should be held on the same day as the meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
