China hopes that NATO, the EU and the U.S. will engage in a comprehensive dialogue with Moscow, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Monday at a meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden.
"China has always favored peace. It will continue to promote peace talks. Also, it supports negotiations between Russia and Ukraine and hopes for their resumption," the Chinese Foreign Ministry quotes Xi as saying.
The talks on the sidelines of Monday's G20 summit in Bali were the first face-to-face meeting between Xi Jinping and Biden since Biden took over as U.S. president and lasted 3 hours and 12 minutes.
