Doctors diagnosed 67-year-old Japanese Princess Nobuko with breast cancer - she is the widow of Prince Tomohito, who died in 2012 and who is a cousin of Honorary Emperor Akihito of Japan, Kyodo news agency reported on Wednesday.
According to its data, the princess's cancer is in its early stages. Nobuko will be hospitalized and surgery to remove the tumor is scheduled for Nov. 19.
Princess Nobuko is also the younger sister of former Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso.
