The Italian region of Piedmont, where the largest mushroom was sold at a record-setting 184 thousand euro charity auction of white truffles.

It weights 700 grams. Truffle was bought by a businessman from Hong-Kong, who bought the lot via video link.

According to the auction results, the price of one gram of white truffle was 194 euros, which is four times higher than the price of one gram of gold. The price of other mushrooms sold at the auction reached 11,000 euros for 330 grams, and 5,000 euros for 150 grams.
