Belarusian border guards shot down a drone that intruded into the airspace of the republic from Ukrainian territory. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Committee of Belarus.
"Pinsk border guards 100 meters from the Belarusian-Ukrainian border found a quadcopter heading from the Ukrainian side to the territory of the Republic of Belarus. The incident occurred today, November 16, in the Kobrin district," the report noted.
The drone hit a border guard with a Kalashnikov assault rifle. The quadcopter was equipped with a video camera and was used for reconnaissance and shooting of technical means of border protection on the territory of Belarus.
On November 2, Belarusian border guards intercepted and forcibly landed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle used for training to drop explosive devices in the Homiel region, one kilometer from the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
