The grain initiative" has been agreed in Istanbul to extend for another 120 days, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote on Facebook, reports Ukrinform.
"The initiative on the safe transportation of agricultural products through the Black Sea" has been extended for another 120 days. This decision was just made in Istanbul. The United Nations and Turkey remain guarantors of the Initiative," he wrote.
Kubrakov added that from the beginning of grain initiative - from August 1 to November 17 - Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tons of agricultural products to 38 countries. He noted that this is a significant volume, but not enough.
According to the Minister, the world market has no opportunity to replace the Ukrainian agricultural products in the short term. At the same time, Ukraine has an opportunity to increase the volume of its own food supplies to the world.
