The price of copper is down 1 percent Thursday morning, trading data show.

March copper futures on the Comex exchange fell 1.07% to $3.8217 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms). A day earlier, the futures rose by 0.9%.

At the end of trading on London Metal Exchange (LME) on Wednesday, a ton of copper with delivery in three months rose by 0.23% to $8,516.5, aluminum - declined by 0.69% to $2,444 and zinc - shrank by 2.41% to $3,238.5.
