The price of gold on Tuesday remains under $1,800 a troy ounce, almost unchanged from the previous close of trading, the stock exchange reports said.
The price of February gold futures on the New York Comex Exchange rose by a symbolic $1.2, or 0.07%, to $1,798.9 a troy ounce. March silver futures are down 0.31% to $23.128 an ounce.
