Turkey will take the necessary steps in 2023 to create a "security zone" of 30 kilometers on the border with Syria. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said this, RIA Novosti reported.

"We will take new steps to close gaps in our 30-kilometer security line to completely eliminate threats to our country in Syria," Erdogan said in an address to the nation after a cabinet meeting.
