The movement of ships through the Dardanelles Strait was suspended on Monday due to heavy fog, according to the Turkish Traffic Service Office.

As specified, the restrictions apply to transit through the strait in both directions.

The measure has been in force since 5.30 a.m. and will be cancelled after the weather conditions improve.

The ferry traffic goes in the normal mode, added in the message.
