Germany wants to supply about 40 Marder infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine by the end of the first quarter, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said on Friday, Reuters reported.
A Patriot surface-to-air missile system from the army's stockpile will also be delivered to Ukraine in the first quarter, he said.
Training on the Marder BMPs will take place in Germany and will last about eight weeks, he added.
