Cher’s son Chaz Bono has been on the front pages of newspapers since he agreed to participate in the Dancing With the Stars show.

He took time out to walk the red carpet with his longtime partner, Jennifer Elia, at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards last week, the Huffington Post reports. Chaz Bono, who had undergone surgery and changed the sex, decided to participate in the show not only for himself but for anyone else who has
felt like they didn’t fit in, the newspaper writes.

Bono gave an interview to ABC News on why he decided to join the show. His participation will help to know more about what it means to be a transgender, as there are so many inaccurate
stereotypes and thoughts that people have, Bono stated.
