YEREVAN. -The problem of Karabakh has only one solution and it is the international recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic, regardless of the opponents and their sponsors, said ruling Armenian Republican Party press-secretary, MP Eduard Sharmazanov.

“Artsakh earned the right to exist after the victory against Azerbaijani aggressors. Nowadays, the republic of Artsakh is a stable state, which unlike Azerbaijan, is on the path of democratic development, and I am sure that in future Karabakh will have no lower status than it has today, and today, Artsakh is an independent, democratic republic, the democratic achievements of which are accepted by many international organizations,” said Sharmazanov.

“No wonder, that Uruguay’s Foreign Minister Luis Almagron announced that Nagorno-Karabakh is the part of Ancient Armenia and should be free or joint Armenia. It is symbolic, as it was in 1965 in Uruguay, when the process of international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide started. I hope that this announcement is promising in terms of international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh. Therefore, the unity of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora is necessary. As the president mentioned, today, Artsakh is the pride of all Armenians,” stressed Sharmazanov.
