Tax and customs benefits are in need for construction of the 400-kW-capacity Iran-Armenia aerial electrical power line’s section to pass from Armenia. Therefore the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources has introduced a special law proposal to the government. The draft law will be discussed during the government’s session on Thursday, and then will be presented to the parliament for its approval.       

In order to construct the aerial electrical power line, the Export Development Bank of Iran provided a credit worth 83 million Euros, and Armenia will co-finance this project with its own 25 million Euros. 

The Iranian Sanir Company is constructing the electrical power line.
