Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita of Moldova announced on Friday that she is resigning. The announcement was made during a press conference, Point.md reports.

At the same time, Gavrilita emphasized that her political team has achieved many objectives recently.

The outgoing PM added that she managed to keep the calm situation in Transnistria, pass through the refugee crisis, as well as the natural gas crisis, they managed to raise salaries, and move forward in European integration.

"The roads have been put into operation, we have implemented many projects, including those related to energy. Many funds have been allocated to support business. The most important thing is that Moldova has become a candidate for the EU," she added.

Also, the premier thanked everyone for the work done and expressed hope that this work will continue.

"It was an honor for me to be the prime minister of this country. I believe in the future of Moldova," added Gavrilita.

She called on Moldovans to be united.
