The new Moldovan government after the resignation of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita will be formed by the pro-European Action and Solidarity Party (PAS). This party controls the Moldovan parliament.

"The PDS faction will ensure the formation of a new government that will focus on security and economic development issues," Parliament Speaker and PAS leader Igor Grosu said on Facebook.

He thanked the Gavrilita government for its work. "Despite the severity of the challenges, the country has been managed responsibly, with great care and dedication," he said.

Grosu is sure that thanks to the work of the cabinet, the country "has preserved peace and stability."
