Pakistan has increased military shipments to Ukraine via a German port, simultaneously with the Polish route, to transfer rockets for use in multiple rocket launchers, The Economic Times reported, citing sources.

The munitions were shipped from the port of Karachi earlier this month and will arrive in Ukraine through the port of Emden in Germany, the sources said. More than 10,000 shells intended for use in Grad multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) were sent, they said.

Although Pakistan has asked Russia for lower oil prices amid the economic crisis, it regularly supplies weapons to Ukraine, the source noted.

Karachi-based Project Shipping facilitated shipments of 146 containers from Pakistani munitions factories last month, the media noted.

Last month, it was reported that Pakistani munitions factories shipped another shipment of 50,000 pieces of ammunition through Karachi. The shipments from Pakistan are reportedly being transported to Ukraine via the Polish port of Gdansk.
