The air incidents over the U.S. show the need to strengthen cooperation between the intelligence services of the alliance countries, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
This is a dangerous pattern of activity. It shows the need to strengthen cooperation between intelligence agencies, he said.
The secretary general said it also underscores the need to strengthen the defense of our airspace in both North America and Europe. NATO will also discuss at the upcoming (NATO defense ministers meeting Feb. 14-15.) cooperation in space to better monitor, to detect any violation of NATO airspace, he added.
In his view, the incident with the airborne objects demonstrates the growing activity of Russia and China in this area.
