Norway will transfer eight tanks and up to four combat support vehicles to Ukraine and will also allocate funds for the purchase of ammunition and spare parts for the equipment, according to a statement published Tuesday on the website of the Kingdom's Defense Ministry.

“We decided to transfer eight tanks and up to four special-purpose vehicles to Ukraine. The decision to transfer was made after close dialogue both with the commander-in-chief and with other European countries. The conflict in Ukraine is approaching a critical phase, and they (the Armed Forces) depend on timely and substantial support. We will also promote the training of Ukrainian tankers in Poland, together with other allied countries,” said the Minister of Defense of the Kingdom Bjorn Arild Gram.
