The price of copper is falling on Friday, trading data show. A stronger dollar is holding back industrial metal prices.

March futures for copper on the Comex exchange fell 0.6% to $4.0968 a pound (about 0.45 kilograms).

At the end of trading on the London Metal Exchange (LME) on Thursday, the cost of a ton of copper for delivery in three months rose by 1.87% to 9,023 dollars, aluminum - by 0.4%, to $2,394, zinc - fell by 0.5% to $3,003.5.
