Beijing and Tehran have signed 19 agreements and contracts worth $3.5 billion. This was announced by the head of Iran's Trade Development Organization, Alireza Peymanpak, Tasnim reported.

He said that Iran signed 19 contracts and agreements in industrial, natural resources and trade sectors alone in addition to 20 memorandums of understanding.

The sides also agreed on technology transfer and the creation of a joint industrial zone in Iran for Iranian and Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises.

Peymanpak noted that during the Iranian delegation's visit to Beijing, the sides held successful talks on electronic trade, agriculture, export of Iranian raw and semi-finished products and extractive industries.

At the moment, Iran's exports to China amount to only $13-14 billion, which, in his opinion, is too little.
