Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced Wednesday that Spain will send six Leopard 2A4 battle tanks to Ukraine, Europress reported.

She said Madrid could send more if necessary and at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and NATO.

During a congressional debate on military aid to Ukraine since the start of the war a year ago, Robles said that Spain was already repairing tanks for transfer to Kyiv.
