The U.S. is working to increase sanctions pressure on Russia, including fighting against circumvention of restrictive measures already in place, U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said Thursday.

She said the U.S., in particular, remains focused on cutting off Russian access to goods needed by the military-industrial complex.

In addition, Yellen expressed hope that the parties will be able to extend the 2022 Istanbul deal that allows the export of grain from Ukraine.
