Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again made a number of false statements regarding the Lachin corridor during his meeting with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representation in Azerbaijan Dragana Kozic.

"Taking into account that more than 3,000 vehicles have traveled along the Lachin road over the past months and other facts, there is no basis for Armenia's claims that the Lachin road was allegedly closed by Azerbaijan, a blockade was used against Armenian residents, and a tense humanitarian situation was created.

Back in December 2022, the Azerbaijani side stated its readiness, if necessary, to help local Armenian residents directly or through the mediation of the ICRC," Azerbaijani media reports.

Taking into account the fact that only through ICRC mediation few seriously ill patients can be transported from Artsakh to medical centers in Armenia, and the Red Cross is well aware of what is actually happening, Azerbaijani statements to the contrary seem strange, at least.

The International Court of Justice ordered Azerbaijan to dissolve the only road linking Artsakh with Armenia," he added.
