Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday received a delegation led by Djuna Bernard, Deputy Chair of the Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am learns from the PM’s office, the Pashinyan attached importance to the continuous development of Armenian-Luxembourgish relations, and noted with satisfaction that the bilateral political cooperation is at a high level.

At the same time, Pashinyan emphasized the need to develop economic cooperation between the two countries and take appropriate steps in that regard.

Also, the Armenian premier stressed the importance of interparliamentary cooperation, including on international platforms.

At the meeting, reference was made to the processes taking place in the South Caucasus region, and to the humanitarian crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's ongoing illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor.

Both sides emphasized the importance of the continuous and consistent reaction by the international community. In that sense, they underscored the two resolutions adopted and the assessments made by the European Parliament regarding Azerbaijan’s aggression against Armenia and blockade of the Lachin corridor.

Future plans for the development and strengthening of democracy in Armenia were also discussed.
