China will provide 100 million yuan (more than $14.5 million) in non-refundable aid to Armenia, deputy foreign minister Mnatsakan Safaryan said at a January 28 meeting of the National Assembly during the discussion of the ratification of the "Agreement between the governments of the Republic of Armenia and the People's Republic of China on technical-economic cooperation."
The aid, he said, will be provided after the ratification of the aforementioned agreement. "The funds will be used to design and build a broadcasting hall of the Armenian Public Television Company and implement other joint projects," Safaryan said.
He also noted that a high level of political dialogue has been established between Yerevan and Beijing. Over 50 agreements and memorandums have been signed and political consultations are held.
