Last day, the Taiwan armed forces registered 25 planes and 3 ships of the People's Liberation Army of China near the shores of the island. This was mentioned in a message published on the website of the ministry of defense of Taiwan on Wednesday.

"Today, as of 06:00, 25 planes and 3 ships of the Chinese army were spotted near Taiwan," the message stated.

According to the message, the armed forces of the island are "monitoring the situation," and the aviation, the navy, and the land-based anti-aircraft missile complexes are in a state of high combat readiness.

Nineteen planes of the Chinese army entered the recognition zone of Taiwan's air defense from the southwest, added the message. They were J-10 multi-target fighters.

The People's Liberation Army of China constantly patrols the waters around Taiwan. Tensions in the Taiwan Strait intensified after the visit of then Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi to Taipei in August last year. That trip brought Beijing's displeasure.
