YEREVAN. – Coordinator of oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan on Wednesday met the envoys of EU states to Armenia, Ambassadors of Germany, France, UK, Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Estonia, as well as diplomatic representatives of Bulgaria, Greece and Netherlands. 

As requested by the diplomats, Zurabyan presented the internal political situation in Armenia, opposition’s claim for holding snap presidential and parliamentary elections, need for amendments in the Election Code, as well as the reasons of suspending the dialogue and the current activity of the ANC.

Transition to democracy and holding free and fair election is possible only if authorities will be obliged to meet the demands of society under heavy pressure of rallies.

Zurabyan spoke on ANC offer to send 2000 international observes for the upcoming elections in Armenia.
