YEREVAN. - In the first six months of 2011 the jewelry industry in Armenia produced goods on AMD 4.7 billion, which is higher than the relevant figure for previous year by 6.5 percent, said the head of Ministry of Economy Industry Policy Department Hayk Mirzoyan on Thursday.
The volume of exported gold articles made 5 percent or AMD 4.4 billion.
31 jewelry companies currently operate in Armenia.
