PreferredYEREVAN. - Several Diaspora representatives were awarded medals and orders on the occasion of 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
President Sargsyan presented high awards during his visit to the U.S.
The benefactor Jirayr Turpanjian was decorated with Order of Honor, Primate of Armenian Church of North America Western Diocese Archbishop Hovnan Terterian was decorated with Order of Merit second degree.
Benefectory Sinan Sinanian and Tevan Aroustamian were awarded with Anania Shirakatsi and Mkhitar Gosh medals respectively.
