YEREVAN. - Opposition Armenian National Congress activist Artak Karapetyan and police task force officer Karen Hovsepyan stood a joint interrogation on Tuesday.

Artak Karapetyan claims that Karen Hovsepyan on August 8 beat him in his office of Kentron police department. Hovsepyan in his turn denied the charges, Artak Karapetyan’s lawyer Stepan Voskanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Artak Karapetyan reiterated his previous statement and Karen Hovsepyan, naturally, denied having excreted violence. He claimed taking Artak into his room for the sake of investigative activities. Karapetyan, however, started shouting and hit the Deputy Chief of Criminal Investigation Department,” said the lawyer.

Artak Karapetyan one of the seven young ANC activists detained on August 9 from Yerevan Liberty Square surroundings.
