Iran has declared four Azerbaijani diplomats persona non grata. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan.

"This step against our country undermines bilateral relations," the Azerbaijan MFA stated.

Earlier, information was disseminated that two diplomats from the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran and two diplomats from the Azerbaijani consulate general in Tabriz were declared persona non grata by the Iranian authorities.
