YEREVAN. – After an explosion on Friday at Kanakeravan village of Armenia’s Kotayk Region, second floor of a two-story house collapsed, and rescuers removed Anahit Khachatryan, 55, from the debris.     

The rescuers raised the obstructing building constructions, and subsequently the paramedics administered first aid to the victim, Armenia’s Rescue Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

After injecting painkiller, the emergency unit transferred the victim with different-degree burns and injuries to “Armenia” Medical Center. According to physicians, Khachatryan is in serious condition.

A call came in on Friday at 10:32 p.m. that there was an explosion at a two-story building in Kanakeravan village, and, as a result, second floor of the building had collapsed. A special fire brigade and the special rescue team on duty headed to the scene at 10:34 p.m. while Crisis Control Center’s operative team, together with paramedics, went there at 10:35 p.m. Operative team of the Rescue Force Committee’s Firefighting Organization Department headed to the scene at 10:42 p.m. The police, emergency, and gas services and their network operators on duty were informed of the incident.
