Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has died in a hospital in Milan, Italian media reported.

Berlusconi, a veteran of Italian politics, the founder and constant leader of Forza Italia party, who headed the Italian government three times, died at the age of 87, Corriera della Sera daily informed on Monday.

In early April, after being hospitalized due to pneumonia, it was found out that the politician has chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, which had caused the aforesaid lung infection. He underwent chemotherapy. At that time, Berlusconi was in the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan for more than a month and was hospitalized again on June 9.
