AIRFRANCE's Paris-Yerevan flight was delayed for several hours this morning.

Passenger Ruzan Charakyan, who is supposed to fly from Paris to Luxembourg, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they were informed about this problem at the airport.

"We haven't been told officially yet. But according to our information, the reason is that the air route was closed for several hours due to the NATO military exercises in Germany," Charakyan said.

NATO's large-scale Air Defender military exercise started Monday in Germany. They will continue until June 23. Ten thousand soldiers from 25 countries are participating, and 250 aircraft are involved in this military exercise.

But Lilit Aghabekyan, assistant to the head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, told Armenian News-NEWS.am that there was no information about the closure of the German airspace, the reason for the aforesaid delay was technical, and the delayed flight will be conducted at 4:30pm.
