An informative hearing was held at the California Senate Select Committee on California, Armenia and Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] Mutual Trade, Art and Cultural Exchange, chaired by California State Senator Anthony J. Portantino

On the agenda of the hearing was the prospects for the launch of direct flights and the need to increase air cargo capacity between Los Angeles and Armenia.

The need for direct flights between Los Angeles and Yerevan was discussed due to the presence of an active Armenian community living in Los Angeles, Senator Portantino noted.

The parties expressed hope that the aforesaid flights will soon become a reality.
