All 120 passengers and crew on board the Philippine ferry that caught fire on Sunday at sea were rescued and the fire was put down, The Associated Press reports, citing Coast Guard.

The Esperanza Star ferry caught fire right before the sunrise as it traveled from Siquijor Province to Bohol Province, central Philippines, with 65 passengers and 55 crew members, the Coast Guard said, adding it sent two rescue vessels.

“All those who were onboard the ferry are safe,” said Coast Guard spokeswoman Joy Gumatay.

According to her, the survivors were taken to the Tagbilaran port city of Bohol province. An investigation is underway.
