The only parties that are worried about the progress of cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia are the enemies of Muslims and the Zionist regime [Israel], Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said, Tasnim reports.
At the meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud on Saturday in Tehran, Raisi hailed the restoration of relations between the two important and influential countries in the Muslim world.
Emphasizing the Iranian government's good-neighbor policy, Raisi said, "Only the enemies of Muslims, and the Zionist regime at the head of them, are upset with the development of bilateral and regional cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia."
“The Zionist regime is not only the enemy of the Palestinians, but also it is a threat to all Muslims, and the normalization of relations of some countries with this regime not only does not create security, but is also against the opinion of the Islamic Ummah,” President Raisi said.
Faisal bin Farhan, in turn, was pleased with the establishment of relations between the two Islamic countries and his trip to Iran.
"With the development of the current interaction between Iran and Saudi Arabia at the level of all Islamic countries, endless achievements will emerge, and guarantee that no foreign country can interfere in our region," Saudi FM said.
