A mass shooting near a music festival in the US state of Washington on Saturday evening killed at least two people and injured three more, NBC News reports.

At some point, the suspect “randomly" opened fire on the crowd at the tented camp next to the Gorge Amphitheater, which hosted the Beyond Wonderland electronic dance music festival, police spokesperson Kyle Foreman said at a news conference.
He said officers responded to a call at 08:23 local time (11:23 ET) to reports of shots being fired into the crowd, and added that after law enforcement arrived in the area, the shooter "continued to randomly shoot into the crowd" and was "eventually taken into custody."
Foreman said two people were killed and three others were injured, including the suspect.
