Since June 15, Azerbaijan has completely blocked the two-way transferring of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) medical patients and the supply of medical supplies and medicine to Artsakh by the Red Cross, the Artsakh Ministry of Health informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Due to the suspension of the import of medicines, the meeting of the demand for medicines in the inpatient sector of Artsakh has reached about 40 percent, whereas in the outpatient sector—about 20 percent.

Considering the created situation, all non-urgent medical examinations and interventions (surgeries) have been canceled, as of Monday, in all medical institutions of Artsakh.

About 175 medical patients in Artsakh are waiting for the opportunity to be transferred to medical institutions in Armenia to receive appropriate medical care. Persons subject to immediate transfer have tumor and cardiovascular diseases.

Eight children remain at the neonatal and intensive care units of Arevik Medical Center in Artsakh.

Eight patients are at the intensive care unit of the Republican Medical Center, and three of them are in critical condition.
