Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiations are scheduled for next week. This was announced by the representative of the ruling power of Azerbaijan and the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Samad Seyidov, during the PACE summer session.

He did not specify the place and format of this meeting, reports the RFE/RL Armenian Service.

"Talks between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan are ongoing. The next round of Talks will take place next week. Do you see the rhetoric of my Armenian colleague? They dream in the terms of the past, they cannot think about the future," Seyidov said and emphasized that the issues raised by the Armenian MPs at PACE do not correspond to reality.

He completely denies the fact of the apparent blockade of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) by Azerbaijan.

"There is no blockade, the so-called ‘genocide’ is completely off the agenda, the closure of the Lachin corridor is a complete misconception, the provocations are from Armenia, not Azerbaijan, military actions, unfortunately, we see," said the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the PACE, and called on the Armenian side to "sit down and start a direct dialogue with Baku about the future."
